    This week I will have to choose a type of editing software that i would most likely be doing for my Portfolio project. There are a lot of editing software's to use for work or whatever your doing but three software's that stood out to me and looked easiest for me were clip champ. Com, Hit film express, and Davinci resolve.  

 

    Clip champ 

Clip champ is a multi-layer picture and video editing software. You can access it anywhere you want because it’s an online software where you don’t have to download anything. Clip champ can be used on google and Microsoft edge but doesn't work on Firefox. I've only been on clip champ for about an hour, and everything seems very basic and easy especially because I'm fairly new to editing. It’s free unless you want to get a different plan: creator plan is $9 a month, Business plan is $19 a month, and business platinum is $39 a month.   


Pros 

  • Multi- layer editing 
  • Low learning curve 
  • Accessible 
  • unique aspects 
  • The ability to collaborate 

Cons 

  • High end plans are a bit expensive  
  • Isn't as good as Premier pro or higher ended editors 
  • Caps at 480p unless you spend $19 for 1080p 

 

    Hit Film express 

Hit film express is a simple free video editing software with a lot of access to visual effects. It seems very advanced by look but it is actually simple because of how many tutorials. The software has a Hollywood look to it, so it does have a bit of a learning curve to it but it's worth learning because it's one of the best free editing software. It allows you to edit the audio and allows you to edit video transformations without needing to do composite shots.

  • Professional video editing with motion tracking, color pickers, and cropping tools   
  • Auto stabilizer  
  • Audio mixer 
  • Various transition options 
  • Unlimited video and audio timeline track 

Cons 

  • There are a lot of add on the can be pricey 
  • Very pricey for better features


Davinci Resolve

  

Pros 

  • Dual timeline for quick and simple navigation 
  • Auto editing 
  • High qualtiy 
  • Dedicated trim interface 

Cons 

  • Quite expensive 
  • Very big space to navigate
