Top 3 favorite films

 Today is October 28 and I have to do this blog on my three favorite films. 

    Captain America: The Winter Soldier, is my favorite film of all time from the acting to the choreography to just the plot in general. This film is focused on the first avenger A.K.A Steve Rogers A.K.A Captain America. Steve Rogers is trying to get used to the world after he’s been on ice for years, he is now working for an international company called S.H.I.E.L.D. After being accused of killing his boss, All of captain America’s colleagues that also work for S.H.I.E.L.D turned against him and now he was a fugitive. Captain America then forms of small team to trying to clear his name consisting of black widow and the falcon. While they’re on the run they encounter and Anonymous enemy that is later find out to be Captain America’s old best friend. Steve later saves the the planet from S.H.I.E.L.D because they got corrupted by a terrorist group. 

 The scene starts at 0:01 and ends at 2:46.

    Captain America and black widow are in the plane getting ready for a mission that’s on a boat. Captain America jumped out of the plane and landed in the water, he then climbs onto the boat and starts taking out the soldiers one by one. Until, he was about to get shot, he gets saved by his team. This connect to the overall plot of the film because it shows captain America fighting enemies with the help of a small team. 

• Visual elements 

The shots that were used were a few medium shots, medium close ups, full shot, long shots, extreme long shot, close ups, overshot, high shot, under shot, and low shot. Most of the scene has regular objects that you would see on a big boat in the background. The enemy's on the boat are wearing camo/ army clothing and some of them are holding large guns. The lighting is pretty dim with a few lights just enough to light up the scene to shot that it was night time.

• Auditory elements

There was a little bit of dialogue between captain America and black widow. there was also a little bit of dialogue when the guy on the plane asked if Captain America had a parachute. There was a fast paste Soundtrack but the music dimmed  down when Captain America would sneak up. there was a noise for every punch and kick in the opening scene. they had very broad and obvious sound effects.

• Character 

I think Captain America’s role, black widows role, and the guy that was talking on the plane.

• Representation

There is an obvious stereotype because there’s fast-paced movement/fighting and a fast pace soundtrack. They also had guns and knives. The film could obviously be identified as a action film.

    Spider man into the Spider verse is my second favorite film. It’s about this boy named Miles Morales that doesn’t like his normal life. Miles was in the subway spray painting until he got bitten by a radioactive spider that transformed him into a Spider-Man. Until miles meet someone that has the same/identical powers as him and he realizes that he’s not the only Spider-Man in the universe. The other Spider-Man‘s name is Peter Parker. Miles and peter work together to defeat an evil villain named king pin that was able to make a portals to different universes. And Miles helps everyone get back to there universes. 

The film opening starts at 0:15 and ends at 2:32

   

     The screen kind of glitches around when showing the Columbia sign almost as if it looks different in alternate universe.(Ik that’s kind of a stretch) after all the ensuring of glitching it cuts to a bunch of bright words with action explosion things around them. It then shows a Spider-Man jumping off of a skyscraper. he explains his kind of origin and says that he saved the city multiple times. The glitching out an alternate universe glitching allows us to get a somewhat idea of what the plot should be about. He also says that he’s the only Spider-Man but it points it out by saying he’s the ONLY Spider-Man.

• Visual elements

The shots that were used were a few medium shots, long shots, close up, and a extreme close up. The lighting for basically the whole time was super bright. they were in the Bronx of New York city.

• Auditory elements

there was a lot of intense fast pace music. what I assume is Peter Parker talking over the screen. The sound effects are very cartoonish and very dramatic.

• Character

I believe that this Spider-Man will be like the mentor of miles morales.

• Representation

well Spider-Man is associated with action films. spider-Man is a well-known superhero.

    Captain America Civil War is my third favorite film. Captain America Civil War is about how the avengers are freezing collateral damage. So the two main team leaders captain America and Iron Man divided the team into two by what they stand by. Which divides the team. Iron Man believes that they should have an oversight while captain America believes that superheroes should the fan humanity without government interference. but later in the film Iron Man finds out that Steve’s friend Bucky (winter soldier) has something to do with the disappearance of his parents.

    Captain America’s team from the previous film, Captain America: winter soldier, were on a very important mission that required them to stop a team full of elite and dangerous soldiers from stealing something that could potentially make them the strongest terrorist group on the planet. Captain America and his comrades come together as a team to hopefully put an end to the terrorist group’s pursuit. Unfortunately, the group of revolutionary guerillas escaped leaving nothing behind. This doesn’t really help develop the film because the film has a twist towards the middle of the movie. 

 

 

• Visual elements 

The camera shots used in this scene were: long shot, close up, medium shot, full shot, low angle shot. It seems to me that they are at some type of science building. The terrorist group were wearing block army clothing with big guns. The lighting was bright the whole-time until, the went into the building which made the lighting dim down. 

• Auditory elements 

They had the typical marvel fast soundtrack but like normal the music went down as they needed to speak or fight. Steve's team gave communications the whole time just to make sure they are all on the same page. The sound effects were very obvious and broad. 

• Character 

Ik that this team would stick together just like they always have.  

• Representation 

There was an obvious stereotype because there was fast paced soundtrack and the normal fighting. There was a lot of usage of guns and explosions.
