IT Chapter 2
This week we started our first case study. What is a case study on a film you might ask? Well a case study is an in-depth study on a film or a scene. The movie that I am going to use is "IT 2"
History/ Target audience
The Warner Brothers used a smart technique to draw their audience in to watch their movie. They used their hype of their previous film to draw more viewers in. Horror creators want good reactions and people that watch horror love the feeling that horror brings them. Since IT Chapter 2 was a sequel of IT the fans already knew what they were getting into.
Production
IT Chapter 2(2019) is a sequel of the previous move IT(2017) it was a supernatural horror film based off of a the book by Stephen King. The production companies that made this film possible were New Line Cinema, Double Dream, Rideback, Vertigo Entertainments. The film was very interesting
Distribution
The distribution were distributed by Warner Bros., Alexandra Films(In Bulgaria, theatrical), CJ CGV Viet Nam(In Vietnam, theatrical), HKC Entertainment (In Pakistan, theatrical), Karo Premiere (In Russia, theatrical), Kinomania (In Ukraine, theatrical), NOS Audiovisuais (In Portugal, theatrical), SF Film Finland (In Finland, theatrical), and Tanweer Alliances. (In Greece, theatrical)
Marketing
The brothers created an online website just for the movie. The website consist of videos, trailers, and pictures of the cast. The Warner Brothers also created an actual fun house just like the on from the film; with different rooms and different scenes from the movie. The Brothers wanted their fans to get a little more and like their films a little more so they created a whole location just for the film. In 2018 San Diego Comic-con had its "Scare Diego" talked about and showed an early look at some footage getting people hyped for the movie.
